Marriage & Family
Everyone has a fantasy of marriage and what it is, and when they get married, marriage becomes a shock that leads to frustration when it's not what you thought it would be. Two people raised in two different homes coming together brings on many challenges that couples don't think about until they are already married. Jamie has been counseling numerous couples with a Christian approach of marriage and the way God has intended for it to be. No marriage is perfect and many times people have a hard time reaching out for help because they feel like their marriage is the only one going through that struggle. No one wants to "air out their dirty laundry" so therefore they keep it to themselves because they don't want anyone to see their "failures". Unfortunately the build up has caused many marriages to end. A lot of people struggle with the dynamics initially between husband and wife as a married couple living together and once they feel like they have finally figured it out, there's new obstacles thrown at them, whether it be work schedules, finances, family/in-laws, or children. This can all be hard on a family, but these are all hurdles that can be overcome through Christ, communication, and understanding.
